About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to join our Edinburgh office and lead our Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and wider impact assessment services. As a key member of our UK-wide team of environmental planners, you will be responsible for developing our portfolio of impact assessment projects in the energy sector and others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and grow a team of environmental planners, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality impact assessments.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand our services and increase our market share in the energy sector and other areas of interest.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the company to identify new business opportunities and develop proposals to secure new projects.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on environmental impact assessment and other related matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in environmental policy and legislation, ensuring that our services remain relevant and effective.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in environmental impact assessment and a strong understanding of the relevant policies and legislation.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
