Your Role

We are seeking an Electrochemical Application Scientist with strong battery characterisation experience to join our exceptional multi-disciplinary team of scientists and technical developers.

You will lead the development of new use cases across industrially relevant and emerging battery chemistries, taking full ownership of new application development cycles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design clear experimental methods and workflows
  • Prepare battery electrodes to defined specifications and their electro-chemical testing in established cell formats
  • Design and troubleshoot new charge photometry cell formats for excellent electro-chemical performance
  • Develop bespoke analysis pipelines
  • Presentation of results to the team and customers
Requirements
  • Strong experience in electrode fabrication, new battery cell designs and electrochemical testing
  • Practical experience with different battery chemistries and their electrochemical features
  • Strong experience with operando battery techniques, preferably imaging-based
  • Excellent data analysis skills and ability to work with multi-dimensional data formats
  • Highly self-motivated and eager learner
  • Excellent communication in English in written and oral forms
  • Scientific curiosity
Desirable
  • Ability to maintain an R&D battery lab
  • Experience with solid-state battery chemistries
  • Experience with Python-based data analysis
