Your Role

We are seeking an Electrochemical Application Scientist with strong battery characterisation experience to join our exceptional multi-disciplinary team.

You will lead the development of new use cases across industrially relevant and emerging battery chemistries, working collaboratively with a continuous desire to develop knowledge and skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design clear experimental methods and workflows
  2. Prepare battery electrodes to defined specifications and their electro-chemical testing in established cell formats
  3. Design and troubleshoot new charge photometry cell formats for excellent electro-chemical performance
  4. Develop bespoke analysis pipelines
  5. Presentation of results to the team and customers
Requirements
  • Strong experience in electrode fabrication, new battery cell designs and electrochemical testing
  • Practical experience with different battery chemistries and their electrochemical features
  • Strong experience with operando battery techniques, preferably imaging-based
  • Excellent data analysis skills and ability to work with multi-dimensional data formats
  • Highly self-motivated and eager learner
  • Excellent communication in English in written and oral forms
  • Scientific curiosity
Desirable
  • Ability to maintain an R&D battery lab
  • Experience with solid-state battery chemistries
  • Experience with Python-based data analysis
