Your Role

We are seeking an Electrochemical Application Scientist with strong battery characterization experience to lead the development of new use cases across industrially relevant and emerging battery chemistries. You will join a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and technical developers who are designing a high-tech analytical instrument with the potential to transform the industry.

In this role, you will take full ownership of new application development cycles, which includes:

  • Designing clear experimental methods and workflows
  • Preparing battery electrodes to defined specifications and their electro-chemical testing in established cell formats
  • Designing and troubleshooting new charge photometry cell formats for excellent electro-chemical performance
  • Developing bespoke analysis pipelines
  • Presenting results to the team and customers

Requirements

Essential

  • Strong experience in electrode fabrication, new battery cell designs, and electrochemical testing
  • Practical experience with different battery chemistries and their electrochemical features
  • Strong experience with operando battery techniques, preferably imaging-based
  • Excellent data analysis skills and ability to work with multi-dimensional data formats
  • Highly self-motivated and eager learner
  • Excellent communication in English in written and oral forms
  • Scientific curiosity

Desirable

  • Ability to maintain an R&D battery lab
  • Experience with solid-state battery chemistries
  • Experience with Python-based data analysis
