Responsibilities of a Repairs Supervisor:

  1. Manage a team of maintenance technicians and contractors to carry out repairs and maintenance tasks.
  2. Conduct regular inspections of properties to assess repair needs and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  3. Ensure that all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  4. Monitor and manage the budget for repairs and maintenance, ensuring cost-effective practices.
  5. Liaise with property management and leasing teams to prioritise and schedule repairs based on occupancy needs.
  6. Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance staff, ensuring their skills are developed and maintained.

  8. Previous experience of working in an office-based similar role.
  9. Strong knowledge of social housing regulations, property management, and maintenance practices.
  10. Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  11. Demonstrated experience in managing contractors and maintaining strong relationships.
  12. Proficiency in using property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  13. Relevant qualifications in housing, property management, or a related field are desirable.
