About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Safety Specialist to join our team at Arup. As a key member of our process safety engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe design and operation of complex process systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead process safety engineering teams to deliver high-quality safety studies, including HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, and other safety reviews
  • Develop and implement safety system specifications, including Layers of Protection studies
  • Conduct consequence modeling using industry-standard software packages, such as PHAST and Flaresim
  • Provide technical expertise on IEC61508/61511 and functional safety
  • Implement Safety Instrumented Systems and ensure compliance with COMAH and DSEAR regulations

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced process safety specialist with a strong background in process engineering and safety. You will have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a client-facing environment.
