About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Safety Engineer to join our team at Arup. As a key member of our process safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe design and operation of our clients' facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of process safety strategies and plans for complex projects
  • Conduct hazard studies, including HAZID and HAZOP, and other safety reviews
  • Develop and implement safety system specifications and Layers of Protection studies
  • Provide technical guidance on IEC61508/61511 and functional safety
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with COMAH and DSEAR regulations
Requirements
  • Proven experience in process safety engineering, with a strong understanding of industry regulations and standards
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
