Job Description

Job Summary:

The Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Director to lead the Divisional Medical Director role in the ONW Division. This is a strategic position that requires a strong background in the delivery of out-of-hospital and public health services, as well as a deep understanding of the relationships between different components of the health and social care system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and implement strategic plans for the Division, in partnership with the Divisional Director of Operations, to ensure the achievement of the Division's goals and objectives.
    • Contribute to the development of the Trust's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the Division's plans and objectives.
  • Operational Management:
    • Ensure the effective delivery of patient care, teaching, and research within the Division, through the implementation of appropriate systems and processes.
    • Represent the Division at operational interfaces, providing clinical expertise and governance as required.
  • Corporate and Clinical Governance:
    • Integrate operational management with the clinical governance agenda, participating in Clinical Governance committees and the Divisional Management Board.
    • Ensure Divisional compliance with national requirements, including Care Quality Commission Registration.
  • Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
    • Collaborate with senior divisional teams, including the Divisional Director of Operations and Divisional Director of Nursing and Therapy, to achieve Divisional goals and objectives.
  • Service Development:
    • Develop and implement service developments around out-of-hospital care, in close collaboration with senior divisional teams.
    • Contribute to the development of clinical governance systems and high-quality clinical practice within the Trust, in partnership with the Medical Director, Nursing, and Quality teams.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in the delivery of out-of-hospital and public health services.
  • Deep understanding of the relationships between different components of the health and social care system.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with senior divisional teams and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans, ensuring alignment with the Division's goals and objectives.
