Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Officer, Inspection and Improvement to join our Education team at the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Deputy Director, Inspection Improvement and the National Director, Education to lead on cross-cutting policies and projects aimed at improving the work of the directorate and Ofsted. This will provide the post holder with a unique opportunity to support and influence Ofsted's work in raising standards and improving the lives of children and learners.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead on cross-cutting policies and projects to improve the work of the directorate and Ofsted
- Work closely with the Deputy Director, Inspection Improvement and the National Director, Education to develop and implement strategic plans
- Collaborate with senior internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain successful relationships
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the quality of education and children's services
- Provide leadership and guidance to teams to achieve high-quality results
Requirements
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and achieving results
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain successful relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders
- High degree of political awareness and knowledge of strategy, policy, and governance
