Headteacher Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Headteacher to lead a small, SEMH specialist setting within a newly opened independent day school. As part of a reputable and growing organisation, this unique opportunity involves ensuring high-quality education and care for a small provision of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire staff to deliver exceptional outcomes for students, fostering a person-centered, inclusive environment that promotes growth and development.
  • Establish direction and oversee all aspects of school life with efficiency and expertise, driving continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and school operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Independent School Standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining the school's trajectory for success.
  • Manage, support, and motivate a dedicated team, promoting collaboration and excellence in the classroom.
  • Design and implement a curriculum tailored to meet the needs of students with ASC and SEMH needs, ensuring it is engaging and accessible.
  • Monitor and enhance student progress, providing personalised interventions and support where needed.
  • Maintain the highest safeguarding standards, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Teacher in a SEND or specialist provision is essential.
  • Strong understanding of working with students with Autism and Communication Needs.
  • Deep understanding of the School Improvement process and effective curriculum models.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
