Events and Sponsorship Manager

Are you looking to develop your career in events and sponsorships? We have an exciting opportunity for an Events and Sponsorship Manager to join our team at Markel International Services Ltd.
About the Role:The Events and Sponsorship Manager will be responsible for planning and executing international events and sponsorships for our global business. This includes high-profile sponsorships such as The Markel Magnolia Cup and The National Theatre, as well as employee engagement events and business conferences.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage an events assistant and annual events calendar across the international business.
- Event management and delivery for large-scale and high-profile events, including corporate hospitality, sponsorship, thought leadership seminars, and formal events.
- Manage end-to-end event logistics, including venue sourcing, contract negotiation, catering, theming, entertainment, and AV.
- Produce detailed event proposals, including timelines, agendas, venues, suppliers, theme, brand activation, and budgets.
- Manage relationships with Markel's sponsorship partners, including contract negotiation and renewals.
- Work closely with our in-house creative team to develop high-quality event materials.
- Manage third-party agencies to support creative delivery, implementation, and logistics of key events.
- Provide regular event reporting and evaluation opportunities to measure event success and gather stakeholder feedback.
- Previous event management experience, with a proven track record of planning and executing successful events.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Experience of managing or coaching others, with a strong desire to succeed.
- Confident interacting with C-suite executives and demonstrating initiative.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office standard tools, including Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
