Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our HR team in Bristol. This role will involve working alongside the HR Business Partners and wider team to deliver the people strategy and embed a positive culture in an established business.

About the Role

This part-time position (3 days a week) offers hybrid and flexible working arrangements, with the possibility of working from home and in the office. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and accurate advice and support to managers and colleagues, in line with Company policy and employment legislation.
  • Coach, support, and develop managers through informal and formal employee relations cases, including sickness/absence, investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, performance improvement, and appeals.
  • Liaise with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) Occupational Health and other wellbeing providers to address colleague health and wellbeing matters.
  • Manage employee relations cases, logging and recording relevant documents as necessary.
  • Provide periodic management information to assist managers in monitoring team performance.
  • Proactively manage potential risks with the support of the HRBPs.
  • Work with HRBPs to identify improvements to people policies, processes, and systems.
Requirements
  • A good understanding of employment legislation and ability to stay up-to-date on legal updates.
  • Experience of complex employee relations casework and dealing with difficult issues.
  • Ability to proactively manage risks and follow escalation procedures.
  • Collation, analysis, and interpretation of data.

  • A competitive salary of up to £35,000 per annum (depending on experience).
