Job Summary

Thornbury Community Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Disabilities Support Worker to join our team. As a valued member of our care team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities to live safe and fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Support individuals with learning disabilities to engage in activities and hobbies that promote their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Provide physical interventions and restraint training as required, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 months of experience working with individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Confidence in performing physical interventions and restraint training.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
  • Valid driver's license and business insurance.
