SEN Educator

We are seeking an experienced SEN educator to join our team at a secondary school in Burnley. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the KS3 curriculum to pupils with special educational needs, including MLD, PMLD, Speech Language and Communication Needs, Autism, and SEMH.
About the Role
- Deliver engaging lessons to pupils aged 11-16 with varying levels of need.
- Develop strategies to support pupils in high-pressure situations.
- Defuse challenging situations in a calm and timely manner.
Requirements
- Must hold a QTS/PGCE/Higher Level Teaching qualification.
- Prior experience supporting pupils with behaviours that challenge is highly desirable.
- The ideal candidate will be resilient and able to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions
- Hours: 9am – 3pm.
- Start date: January.
- Estimated salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum.
