New Business Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced New Business Account Handler to join our team at Howden Insurance Brokers Ltd. As a key member of our Motor Trade Insurance team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and generate leads to achieve new business targets
- Liaise with Account Executives to develop winning strategies and attend client meetings as necessary
- Undertake market exercises to establish competitive terms and ensure premiums are collected in line with procedures
- Record all relevant information, correspondence, and documentation on Acturis and utilize the diary system effectively
- Produce accurate and professional documentation using relevant Howden templates
- Cross-sell products from other Divisions and refer queries outside of your experience and authority to senior staff
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in providing specialist advice in the insurance market
- Cert CII
- Working knowledge of all main classes of General Insurance and the CII's Code of Ethics and GDPR
- Knowledge of motor trade insurance or High Net Worth within motor insurance is desirable
