Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Child Development Specialist to join our team in Northumberland. As an Educational Psychologist, you will play a key role in promoting the application of psychology in all aspects of our practice.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child development and be able to apply their knowledge to support the needs of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

You will work collaboratively with our dynamic and passionate team to develop and deliver preventative, early intervention, and therapeutic approaches that make a significant contribution to improving outcomes for children and young people.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and well-organized individual who is committed to professional development and has a good understanding of the opportunities for educational psychology in Northumberland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide expert advice and guidance on child development and SEND to schools and other partners.
  • To develop and deliver training and professional development opportunities for school staff.
  • To work collaboratively with the team to design and implement innovative approaches to supporting children and young people with SEND.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Educational Psychology or related field.
  • HCPC registration as an Educational Psychologist.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with SEND.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Salary: £43,745 - £59,579 per annum (pro rata for part-time), dependent on experience and qualifications.
