Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join our team at Vox Network Consultants. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a Neighbourhood patch, providing tenancy-neutral Housing and Estate management services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the patch to an exceptionally high standard, engaging with and involving residents in the management of their Neighbourhood through regular estate inspections.
  • Pro-actively deal with all potential hazards and Fire Risk Assessment actions.
  • Ensure the speedy lettings of property in line with Tower Hamlets Homes' and national BVPI targets.
  • Support and sustain tenancies to prevent homelessness through the provision of general tenancy support to residents to help sustain their tenancy.
  • Undertake sensitively and effectively all aspects of tenancy management.
  • Case manage residents with additional needs.
  • Take action concerning breach of tenancy, removal of squatters, unauthorised occupants, authorising successions, assignments including attending Court to give evidence.
  • Deal sympathetically and effectively with clients, often in stressful circumstances, by telephone, office interview, home visit and when representing the Council in court.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Neighbourhood Housing.
  • Experience working in a housing association or council.
  • Ability to listen and understand resident demands, Ability to build capabilities and encourage tenants to reach their own solutions.
Contract Details
  • Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract.
  • PAYE via Umbrella.
  • Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
