Protocol Education is seeking a Behaviour Support Specialist to work in a large Primary School in Stafford. The school has a nurturing environment and provides opportunities for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to develop into happy and confident individuals.

The ideal candidate should have experience in managing challenging behaviour and implementing effective strategies to enhance students' learning experiences in the classroom. A comprehensive understanding of SEMH and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is essential, as well as the ability to tailor support to meet individual students' needs.

This role requires a strong knowledge of SEMH and SEND, including Team Teach/Positive Handling/De-escalation Training, SEND Certificate, and other relevant qualifications. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support to students.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include on-site parking, in-house and national accredited training, and birthdays off. This is a temporary position, but the option to make it permanent may become available at a later date.

As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support to students with SEMH needs, working closely with teachers and other support staff to develop strategies to enhance students' learning experiences. You will also contribute to the development of the school's Behaviour Policy and procedures.

We offer free online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training to all our workers. All candidates must undergo or have undergone a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
