Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Neurodevelopmental Team at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 7 Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with children and young people with neurodivergent conditions, providing assessment and support services that make a real difference to their lives.

About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and pioneering team, contributing to the development of innovative services that meet the needs of children and families in our local communities. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess and support children with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders, and provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to assess and support children with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders
  • Develop and implement holistic treatment plans that meet the individual needs of each child
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior team members
  • Contribute to the development of the service through audit and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field
  • Experience working with children and young people with neurodivergent conditions
  • Strong clinical skills and a passion for working with children with SEND
  • Excellent communication and teamworking skills
  • Good IT skills and ability to use mobile working technology
