The Veritas Education Recruitment team is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Support Assistant to join our clients' SEN school in Leeds. As a key member of the school's support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and educational success of students with complex needs.



About the Role:



The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high-quality support to students aged 5-19 with complex needs, including Autism, Down Syndrome, and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities. You will work closely with teaching staff, nurses, and other support professionals to create a safe and inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of our students.



As a Complex Needs Support Assistant, you will be required to:





  • Support students with personal care, including toileting, dressing, and feeding

  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of our students

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each student

  • Collaborate with teaching staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment

  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with complex needs



In addition to your technical skills and knowledge, we are looking for someone who is:





  • Passionate about supporting students with complex needs

  • Compassionate and empathetic, with a commitment to delivering exceptional care

  • Flexible and able to work as part of a dynamic support team

  • Confident in your ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents



Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience
