The Organisation

Our client is dedicated to flying mammal conservation and habitat protection. Their mission is to secure flying mammals' future in a changing world.

They actively work on a range of initiatives to create a better world for flying mammals. They're passionate about preserving these unique creatures and are committed to welcoming like-minded individuals who share their dedication.

They are now looking for a Helpline Team Lead to join them on a full-time, permanent basis, working 30 - 37.5 hours per week over four or five days.

The Role

As the Helpline Team Lead, you will lead and manage the Helpline team, overseeing the delivery of services, managing resources, and ensuring efficient operations.

You will develop strategies to manage workloads, ensure staff meet performance expectations, and foster a positive working environment.

Additionally, you will oversee budget management and work on securing future funding to ensure the long-term sustainability of the helpline.

Additionally, you will:

  • Line manage helpline staff, ensuring adherence to roles and shifts
  • Monitor and allocate resources to meet peak demands
  • Manage helpline budgets, income, and expenditure
  • Develop and maintain relationships with funders
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards and report to stakeholders
  • Oversee the management of database systems and phone software
About You

To be considered as the Helpline Team Lead, you will need:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Project management experience
  • Experience of leading and managing a team
  • Financial management and budgeting experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
