Fleet Controller

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Controller to join our fast-paced Commercial division. As a key point of contact for customers, you will proactively manage day-to-day cost-effective vehicle repair decisions, providing effective customer service and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with customers, internal teams, and external partners
  • Work collaboratively with the fleet desk team and liaise effectively with other departments to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow
  • Identify mechanical problems by questioning customers and provide accurate information to inform repair decisions
  • Prioritize work effectively, ensuring all systems and updates are recorded accurately and efficiently
  • Enter information into internal software systems accurately, sufficiently, and suitably
  • Monitor and organize contracts, ensuring timely and cost-effective management
  • Liaise with Contract Relationship Manager and Customer Service Manager regarding any issues that may arise
  • Deal with day-to-day queries and escalations from customers, providing regular updates on repair progress and due service inspections
  • Report defects to customers, preparing estimates and quotations, and obtaining covering order numbers
  • Provide additional support to team members as needed

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of LCV and HGV compliance and proven experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Excellent telephone-based customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized and reliable
