Job Title: Experienced Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs, SEN or behavioural needs in mainstream primary schools across Christchurch.

About the Role:
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs, SEN or behavioural needs in a mainstream primary school setting
  • Lead and facilitate small group interventions to help pupils working below age-related expectations
  • Work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with parents and other professionals
  • Develop and implement tailored approaches to meet the needs of individual pupils
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN or behavioural needs
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and ability to adapt and use initiative
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and calm manner in challenging situations
  • Up-to-date DBS registration or willingness to apply
