Job Title: Experienced Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs, SEN or behavioural needs in mainstream primary schools across Christchurch.

About the Role:
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs, SEN or behavioural needs in a mainstream primary school setting.
  • Lead and facilitate small group interventions to help pupils working below age-related expectations.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with parents and other professionals.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and a calm manner in challenging situations.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children, particularly those working below their age-related expectations and those with special educational needs.
  • Knowledge of and experience with behaviour management strategies.
  • Ability to adapt and use initiative in challenging situations.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with parents and other professionals.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £12.82 per hour.
  • Term-time only working hours from 8:30-15:30.
