Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As an HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality support to students with SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and external professionals to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Lead small groups and deliver planned learning activities to support student learning and development.
  • Utilize strong behavior management skills to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve student outcomes.

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience working with children with SEN, including ASD and SEMH needs.
  • Strong behavior management skills and ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A nurturing, patient, and flexible approach to support individual student needs.
