Teaching Assistant for SEN Students

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at an award-winning SEN school group in Dorset. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children and young people with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the teaching staff in delivering planned learning activities and individualized learning plans.
  • Assist students with SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Develop and maintain a nurturing and patient approach to support the individual needs of students.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and external professionals to ensure a comprehensive support system.
  • Contribute to the development of students in a unique and rewarding educational setting.

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience working with children with SEN.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
