About the Role

We are seeking a talented researcher to join our team at the University of Cambridge. As a Mathematical-AI-Researcher, you will play a key role in developing and conducting individual and collaborative research projects within the themes of agentic AI, theoretical machine learning, symbolic AI, and simulation-based approaches.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and conduct individual and collaborative research projects within one or more of the listed themes
  • Identify and pursue synergies in an interdisciplinary context
  • Communicate technical material beyond your immediate scientific field
  • Assist in supervising student projects and developing student research skills

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a completed (or near-completed) PhD in physics, machine learning, applied mathematics, or a related field. You must also have excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package, with an estimated annual salary of £55,000 - £70,000, depending on experience and qualifications. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with Infosys AI researchers and contribute to the development of multi-media demonstrations of your research outputs.
