Job Summary: We are seeking an exceptional computational applied mathematician to join our team as a Research and PhD Administrator. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside renowned professors at the University of Cambridge, contributing to cutting-edge research in stratified shear flows.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute simulations to advance our understanding of turbulent mixing.
  • Collaborate with senior researchers to define and achieve individual and collective research objectives.
  • Provide administrative support for research projects, ensuring seamless planning, execution, and communication.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations, reports, and papers, effectively communicating complex ideas to various audiences.
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including students, faculty, and industry partners.
  • Support student project supervision, fostering their research skills and academic success.

Requirements: To be considered for this role, applicants must possess or be nearing completion of a PhD in mathematics, engineering, or a related field. We welcome applications from individuals who share our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. This compensation reflects the market rate for a researcher with a strong background in computational applied mathematics.
