**Job Description:** Research Fellow in Advanced Manufacturing

Matta is a group of engineers, scientists, and builders working on manufacturing foundation models (MFMs) and a general-purpose manufacturing OS to improve the sustainability of manufacturing today and unlock unimaginable technologies for tomorrow. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Fellow in Advanced Manufacturing to join our team.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development and optimization of manufacturing processes, collaborate with our research team to advance our understanding of sustainable manufacturing, and create dynamic, real-time replicas of parts being manufactured using digital twins.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a rapidly evolving field, with ongoing discoveries driving the direction and methods of our research. You will have access to extensive computing and hardware resources, including the University of Cambridge's cluster of 320 A100 GPUs, and collaborate with our research team to explore unique data and expertise.

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development. If you are passionate about sustainable manufacturing and eager to make a meaningful contribution, please submit your application.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1 degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related subject
  • Strong background in manufacturing engineering or a related field
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C++
