The Department of Pure Maths and Mathematical Statistics at the University of Cambridge is seeking an exceptional researcher to fill a Herchel Smith Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Pure Mathematics. About the Fellowship

  • This postdoctoral fellowship is designed to support early-career researchers with a strong background in Pure Mathematics.
  • The selected candidate will have the opportunity to pursue their research interests and contribute to the vibrant academic community at the University of Cambridge.
  • The fellowship provides a stipend of £36,024-£44,263 per annum, along with an annual research allowance of £13,000.

Requirements

  • Candidates should hold a PhD or equivalent degree in Pure Mathematics.
  • They should provide evidence of outstanding academic excellence and a high-quality research proposal.
  • Candidates with less than three years of postdoctoral experience are eligible for this fellowship.

Application Process

In addition, they should ensure that all referees are aware that they will be contacted by the Mathematics HR Office Administrator to request that they upload a reference for the candidate to our Web Recruitment System.
