About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant Assistant to join our team at Marshall Motor Group. As an Accountant Assistant, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our Aftersales team, ensuring the financial health of our Trade Parts Specialists (TPS) sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide financial support to the Aftersales Accountant, including debt and WIP reviews, invoice and expense payment requests, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with the production of management accounts, including accruals and prepayments, and raise invoices for TPS sites.
  • Support the Aftersales Accountant in day-to-day tasks, including bad debt provision reporting and review, and clear and reconcile any balances in suspense accounts.
  • Work closely with the Franchise Financial Controller and the Accounts team to ensure the financial health of our TPS sites.

Requirements

  • Current or previous experience in an Accountancy or Data Administrator role.
  • Proven understanding of the role and day-to-day function within accounts.
  • Ability to self-manage workload and time, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Desirable: current or previous Automotive experience.
