Accounts Payable Assistant Job Description

Marshall Fleet Solutions is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Assistant to support the maintenance of the purchase ledger. This role involves processing invoices and expenses in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process purchase ledger invoices and expenses, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
  • Resolve account queries and reconcile supplier accounts.
  • Support the finance function of the fleet management division.
  • Assist with BACS payments to suppliers and employees.
  • Reconcile supplier statements, including fleet management division suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel and other MS Office packages.
  • Essential: 5 GCSE or equivalent grade C or above.
  • Experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential.
Accountability:

The Accounts Payable Assistant has shared responsibility for the maintenance and accuracy of the purchase ledger.

  • Outstanding attention to detail with an ability to reconcile complex accounts.
  • Accurate, efficient, and organised with the ability to prioritise tasks as needed.
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with external clients and internal colleagues.
Technical Competencies:
