We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Psychiatry of Learning Disability to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide clinical leadership and management to the team, ensuring that high-quality patient care is delivered in a safe and effective manner.
- Patient Care: Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans for patients with learning disabilities, ensuring that their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Teaching and Supervision: Provide teaching and supervision to junior doctors and other healthcare professionals, promoting their professional development and ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
- Research and Quality Improvement: Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that our services are evidence-based and continuously improving.
- Qualifications: Full Registration with the General Medical Council and eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at time of interview.
- Experience: Prior experience working in an inpatient mental health team and experience of psychiatric practice in a range of settings, especially the community.
- Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
