About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join our vibrant multidisciplinary team in South Devon and Torbay. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric input to the multidisciplinary team, contributing to clinical and team management decisions, and providing consultation to others.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be expected to provide psychiatric input to the multidisciplinary team, contributing to clinical and team management decisions and providing consultation to others. They will contribute to leading on the establishment of multi-disciplinary assessment clinics, providing high-quality specialist mental health assessments of young people referred into the service.

Leadership and Service Development

There will be a strong emphasis on leadership, both clinical and in terms of service development, working closely with the operational managers and other clinical leads. The successful candidate will participate in on-call duties and join the regular peer group CPD forum and will be supported to become a clinical supervisor or pursue special interests.
