This is an exciting opportunity to join our Benefits Team as a Benefits Officer and contribute to delivering essential services to our community.
About the JobThe Benefits Officer role involves administering Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction, and Discretionary Housing Payment applications, ensuring that applicants receive timely and accurate decisions.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing excellent customer service and communicating effectively with applicants and stakeholders
- Working collaboratively with other teams to ensure seamless delivery of services
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting on application outcomes
- A motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Good standard of education, including Maths and English GCSE grade C/4 or above
- Practical experience of ICT systems and excellent written and oral communication skills
- A salary of £22,000 - £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
