Payroll Director

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead our payroll department and support the strategic growth of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing payroll team, ensuring they have the necessary training, development, and resources to deliver exceptional payroll services.
- Develop the strategic direction of the payroll department, working closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
- Partner with key stakeholders across the group to ensure key performance metrics are measured, successfully delivered, and reviewed for continuous improvement opportunities.
- Instil best practice and a customer service culture across the team, ensuring they take pride in their work and are recognised accordingly.
- Mange key payroll enhancement projects, ensuring key stakeholders are fully informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of UK Payroll experience, with a proven track record of leading and mentoring a team.
- End-to-end payroll experience, with technical payroll knowledge and experience of multiple payrolls, ideally across multiple entities.
- Experience of working with accounts around reporting, balance sheet, nominal ledger, and other financial systems.
- Previous experience of payroll projects, improvements, and other related initiatives.
