Job Overview:
NES Fircroft is currently recruiting for a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to work in our Aberdeenshire Workshop. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our organization.

About the Role:
As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for performing a range of tasks, including repairs, overhauls, and assembly on drilling equipment. You will work closely with the team to ensure high-quality results and meet customer expectations.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out repairs, overhauls, and assembly on drilling equipment.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and toolbox talks to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of timesheets and inspection reports.
  • Participate in the investigation of unsafe practices and behaviors, suggesting improvements to working procedures.
  • Adhere to local waste management policies and procedures.
  • Operate forklifts, overhead gantry cranes, and vertical lift platforms following training.

Requirements:
  • Hold a NVQ Level 3/HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Have a good working knowledge of fluid power systems.
  • Be experienced in pressure testing (gas and fluid based).
  • Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical systems.
  • Be able to read schematic and layout drawings.
  • Communicate effectively in English (written and oral).
