Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

NES Fircroft, a leading workforce solutions provider in the energy and infrastructure sectors, is expanding its workshop team in Aberdeenshire. We are seeking a qualified Workshop Mechanical Technicians to join our team and carry out repairs, overhauls, and assemblies on drilling equipment.
- Contribute to risk assessments and toolbox talks, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Perform job functions in accordance with Company standards, maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency.
- Carry out Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) to meet or exceed company requirements.
- Accurately complete timesheets and inspection reports, submitting them on time.
- Conduct Quality Control checks at Goods In point as required.
- Report and participate in investigations into unsafe practices and behaviors.
- Suggest improvements to working practices and product lines.
- Maintain adherence to local waste management policies and procedures.
- Operate forklifts, overhead gantry cranes, and vertical lift platforms after training.
Candidates must:
- Hold a NVQ Level 3/HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
- Possess a good working knowledge of fluid power systems.
- Have experience in pressure testing (gas and fluid based).
- Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Able to read schematic and layout drawings.
- Effective communication skills in English (written and oral).
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. NES Fircroft offers competitive salaries, benefits, and opportunities for career growth.
