Mechanical Engineer

Brimmond Ltd is a leading provider of lifting, mechanical and hydraulic equipment for industry. We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead our projects.
We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including company pension, cycle to work scheme and private medical insurance.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of design, manufacturing and refurbishment projects, ensuring legislative requirements are met and engineering standards are complied with. This includes project budget management, approval of engineering documents and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of design, manufacturing and refurbishment projects
- Ensure legislative requirements for all manufacturing projects are met
- Manage project budgets
- Approval of engineering documents, including drawings, calculations and reports
Requirements
- Minimum Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng / BSc Hons)
- Clear track record of being responsible for the design and delivery of new build equipment from concept to as built
- Capable of carrying out various engineering calculations by hand
- Proficient in using FEA software (preferably Autodesk Nastran) for analysis of mechanical components
