Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and efficient Clerical Administrator to join our team at Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing administrative support to our healthcare professionals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our wards by managing outpatient appointments, resolving patient, staff, and visitor queries, and maintaining accurate records.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Outpatient Appointment Coordination: Coordinate and schedule appointments for patients with various healthcare providers.
  • Patient Query Resolution: Respond to patient inquiries, resolve issues, and provide courteous assistance to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Record Maintenance: Update patient information systems, chase Health Record Supplements, and record ward attender or outpatient activity accurately.

Person Specification:
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using patient information systems or equivalent.
  • Customer Service Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • NHS Experience: Proven experience working in an NHS environment.
Remuneration Package

£28,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
