About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Contracts Manager to join our team at Gtd Healthcare. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for establishing and managing our procurement processes, ensuring compliance with UK procurement directives and legislation, and driving sustainability principles across all aspects of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on procurement projects, including strategic procurement and planning, to achieve cost savings and efficiency gains.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies, including tendering and commercial dialogue, to ensure the best value for money.
  • Manage contracts and procurement processes, ensuring compliance with UK procurement directives and legislation, and embedding sustainability principles.
  • Provide expert advice on procurement strategies, including advice on alternatives, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Monitor performance against service levels, recurring contract obligations, and KPIs, and escalate any issues with performance.
Requirements
  • Significant experience of working within procurement and contract management, with a proven track record of delivering cost savings and efficiency gains.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work accurately and with fine attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of UK procurement directives and legislation, and contract law, contracting, and purchasing legislation.
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, and e-tendering systems.
