About the Role

Gtd Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Contracts Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for establishing and managing our procurement processes, ensuring compliance with UK procurement directives and legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on procurement projects, including strategic procurement and planning, to ensure the most efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve sustainability.
  • Manage contracts and procurement processes to ensure compliance with UK procurement directives and legislation.
  • Provide expert advice on procurement options and strategies to senior managers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine precise requirements for procurement projects.
  • Lead on commercial negotiations with suppliers and hold supplier contract management and review meetings.

Requirements

  • Significant experience of working within procurement and contract management.
  • Leading on procurement projects, including strategic procurement and planning experience.
  • Detailed and up-to-date knowledge of UK procurement directives and legislation.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of contract law, contracting and purchasing legislation and implementation of procurement actions in full accordance with law and environmental requirements.
  • Experience and working knowledge of sustainability issues and processes.
  • Contract management experience, including the ability to produce Tenders and Quotations in accordance with Trust Standing Financial Instructions.
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Experience of using e-tendering systems.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in the NHS health sector/public sector.
