At Academics Ltd, we are seeking an exceptional Mental Health Assistant to join our team in Stevenage. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate with a passion for mental health, criminology, and social justice.

We are looking for someone who is committed to providing first-class support to children with complex social, emotional, and mental health needs. If you have a keen interest in this area of work and are looking to develop your skills and experience, then this role is perfect for you.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the range of different types of learning and behavioral needs, including SEMH elements of the provision. They will also have a local commute to Stevenage.

As a Mental Health Assistant, you will be responsible for working with children with ADHD, communication difficulties, Down syndrome, and some speech, language, and communication needs. You will provide hands-on support and guidance to help them overcome their challenges and achieve their full potential.

This is an outstanding opportunity for individuals with previous SEN experience or graduates with a keen interest in this area of work. If you are looking for a career in youth work, then this position is not to be missed.

We offer a competitive salary of £23,000 - £25,500 per annum (£460 - £500 per week) and a long-term contract. The ideal candidate will have an Undergraduate Degree (preferable) and/or previous SEN experience, as well as a strong interest in mental health and Autism.
