We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our senior nursing leadership team as a Deputy Ward Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-functioning team, providing exceptional care to patients and their families in a 28-bedded ward.
Key Responsibilities- Provide skilled, evidence-based nursing care to patients admitted to the ward for rehabilitation.
- Manage the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of ongoing learning and development.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to promote patient-centered care and achieve the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Contribute to clinical audit and project work, driving improvements in patient care and service delivery.
- Deputize for the Ward Manager/Matron/Hospital Manager as required, representing the team in their absence.
- Registered Nurse (RN1) with a degree/diploma and working towards a first-level degree.
- Mentor award and evidence of ongoing continuing professional development.
- Experience of managing teams and clinical audit/project work.
- High level of clinical knowledge and skill, with a broad range of clinical experience.
- Ability to challenge poor behavior and role model good behavior.
