About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nurse to join our senior nursing leadership team as a Deputy Ward Manager. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled evidence-based nursing care to patients admitted to our ward for rehabilitation.
  • Manage the ward in the absence of the ward manager on a day-to-day basis.
  • Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to promote the comfort and wellbeing of patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practice within the ward team.
  • Adhere to Trust policies and procedures, as well as local and national Health and Safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN1) qualification.
  • Degree or Diploma in Nursing and working towards a first-level degree.
  • Mentor award.
  • Evidence of ongoing continuing professional development.
  • Experience of management of teams and clinical audit/project work.
  • High level of clinical knowledge and skill.
