About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist education provision that supports children with profound multiple learning difficulties and complex needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing general classroom support, 1:1 and small group interventions, and ensuring the safeguarding of all pupils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general classroom support, including 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Offer care and support as required, including personal care and mental health support
  • Assist with lesson preparation and supervision during activities
  • Ensure the safeguarding of all pupils, reporting any concerns to the Safeguarding team and recording information on the EPs safeguarding system
  • Support pupils to access the curriculum and promote progress and achievement
Requirements
  • Level 2 Literacy/Numeracy (or NVQ equivalent)
  • Basic ICT skills
  • Positive attitude to training and continuous professional development
  • Experience working with pupils in formal or informal settings
  • Punctual, polite, and professional
