Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a special needs school. The successful candidate will provide support to students with SEN needs, particularly those with SEMH profiles, in our KS1 department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students with SEN needs, including those with SEMH profiles, in a KS1 setting.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic well-being.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, as needed.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting respect and empathy among students and staff.

Requirements

  • Experience working with students with SEN needs, particularly those with SEMH profiles.
