Position Overview: We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants for a dynamic and innovative Special School. This institution is committed to fostering an environment where every individual can thrive and reach their fullest potential.

About the School: The school serves approximately 142 students aged 4 to 19 with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), severe learning disabilities (SLD), and complex needs. A notable portion of our students also has a diagnosis of autism.

Ofsted Rating: The school has received a 'Good' rating from Ofsted, reflecting our commitment to quality education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized support to students to help them enhance their learning and daily living skills.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
  • Assist with personal care as necessary.
  • Address the physical, emotional, and educational needs of students.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the classroom teacher.

Ideal Candidates Will:

  • Possess experience in supporting individuals with special needs or mental health challenges.
  • Exhibit strong communication abilities.
  • Demonstrate a nurturing and empathetic approach.
  • Have a good sense of humor.
  • Be adaptable and work collaboratively within a team.
