Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a thriving secondary school in Wiltshire. This rewarding position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students by providing individualized support and fostering their academic growth.
Your Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement tailored learning plans for individual students.
- Provide one-on-one and small group instruction, addressing specific learning needs and challenges.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to both students and teachers.
- Contribute to the overall school community by participating in extracurricular activities and events.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting.
- A genuine passion for education and a commitment to student success.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Experience working with students who have social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
Qualifications
- Good general level of education to include Maths and English GCSE grade C or above, or further relevant experience in the absence of formal qualifications.
- NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant.
- DCFS Induction (Level 2) or equivalent.
- NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant (available September 2002) or equivalent.
