About the Role:
Vida Healthcare is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Healthcare Information Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of medical records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with GPs to verify responses to medical information requests.
- Work with the summarising team to tidy and re-summarise medical records, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Check all information prior to release for third-party data or redacting requirements.
- Seek guidance from the team leader, Caldicott Guardian, IG lead, and DPO as needed.
- Assist in supporting the management and integration of incoming medical records.
- Support proactive patient management to reduce contacts and complete annual/monthly checks.
- Process tasks and workflows from nurses and other practice staff to arrange monitoring of patients.
- Identify potential system and process improvements within the practice and wider healthcare system.
- Ensure patients on health registers are contacted, offered, and followed up for annual monitoring.
Requirements:
- Able to work unsupervised while being an effective team member.
- Attend relevant training to meet role requirements and improve skills.
- Maintain data security at all times.
- Aware of information governance standards and policies under GDPR and Data Protection.
About You:
The successful candidate must have flexibility to cover extra hours for annual leave and short notice sickness. Experience working within a healthcare environment and medical terminology are essential.
You will be responsible for providing high-quality service to patients across our practices. You can expect to be mentored and supported by the organisation while empowered to deliver care and support.
You must be able to work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet patient needs. High-quality service delivery, complete confidentiality, and patient satisfaction are an absolute priority.
Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum.
